Ginger Oh Snap, known as โThe Shapeshifting Showgirl”, is a multifaceted entertainer and creator based in Nashville, Tennessee. Ginger is an award-winning burlesque performer, published pinup model, and emcee, who has performed at burlesque festivals and charmed audiences all across the globe. Ginger is also a resident performer at the World Famous Skullโs Rainbow Room, voted one of the best places to see burlesque in the world by Lonely Planet.
A true Queen of Nerds, Ginger appears and emcees as a cosplay guest and host throughout the US and is the Producer of Full Frontal Nerdity Burlesque, which creates naughty, nerdy entertainment for fandom events.

- Cospositivity – Cosplay positivity, or โcospositivity,โ is a movement of cosplayers who have decided to fight back against the myth that only perfect physical representations and recreations of characters are welcome in the cosplay world. In this open discussion, weโll talk about the body positivity movement, the many facets of bullying in the community and the issues surrounding this behavior. Most of all, weโll talk about how we all can make both cosplay and fandom better for every fan – because cosplay is for everyone.
- Cosplay 101 – Is this your first time at a con and youโre wondering what this strange thing called cosplay is all about? Or have you seen cosplay for a while but arenโt sure how to get started? In this panel, we will discuss the history of cosplay, where to start, tips and tricks for completing your cosplay, and how to survive a convention in it. Plus a few dos and donโts from an experienced cosplayerโs perspective. There will also be a Q&A segment to make sure all of your burning cosplay questions are answered!
- Cosplay for Competition โ Learn tips and tricks for creating competitive costumes, what judges might be looking for, and how to create the best possible skits. This is an open discussion with a seasoned cosplay competition judge, who is here to address any questions or concerns you may have, to make your next competition entry the best it can be!
- Cosplay Doโs and Donโts – Join Ginger Oh Snap in a discussion that will include classic pitfalls and how to avoid them – including what fabrics to use, how to make patterns, basic prop building, posing, genderbending, how to store cosplay safely, how to navigate cons in cosplay, undergarments, and more! There will also be a Q&A segment to make sure all of your burning cosplay questions are answered!
- Posing For Cosplay Photography – This panel by Ginger Oh Snap will teach you what to expect at a cosplay photo shoot. Learn about how to properly reach out to photographers, build business relationships with them, and conduct proper model etiquette at your shoot. You will learn the safety dos and donโts of a photo shoot, how to put your best face forward, numerous action poses that flatter all body types, and how to bring out the confidence within you to totally kill your photo shoot!
